About CEDED The Centre for Democracy and Development (CEDED) is a national, non-governmental, and non-profit civil society organization established in 1998 and registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC). CEDED works to promote a peaceful, empowered, and self-reliant society through capacity building, access to information, advocacy, and inclusive community engagement. CEDED’s core thematic areas include conflict transformation and peacebuilding, governance and human rights, livelihoods and skills development, climate change adaptation and environmental protection, and institutional capacity strengthening. Job Purpose CEDED is seeking qualified, committed, and experienced Project Officers to support the implementation of the Peacebuilding and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Integration component under the SMAC+ Project in Yei, Juba and Terekeka Counties. The project is funded by CARITAS Switzerland. The Project Officers will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, documentation, and reporting of project activities at the community and local levels. The successful candidates will work closely with communities, local authorities, traditional and religious leaders, women’s and youth groups, civil society organizations, community-based organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to promote peaceful coexistence, conflict prevention, dialogue, reconciliation, social cohesion, and community resilience.
