Job Purpose Amref Health Africa is seeking a dynamic Communications Intern to support the Communications Officer in strengthening the organization’s visibility, stakeholder engagement, and brand positioning in South Sudan. The intern will play a key role in content development, media engagement, and digital communications, helping to amplify project achievements, impact stories, and advocacy efforts. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in health communications, allowing the selected candidate to contribute to meaningful social change while gaining valuable professional skills. Key focus areas include content creation, media outreach, digital communications, and event support. Reporting Relationships Reports to the Communications Officer. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES Education and Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Experience: Prior experience in communications, social media management, or content creation is an advantage. Familiarity with digital communication tools and graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is desirable. Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Proficiency in social media management. Basic photography and videography skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. 5.4 Competencies: Proactive and eager to learn. Creative with attention to detail. Team player with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Languages English Arabic (Reading and writing is an added advantage) Compensation A modest stipend may be provided based on availability of funds.
