• Financial Reporting & Accounting • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports in line with the Chart of Accounts, accounting checklists, and finance procedures. • Ensure proper recording of accruals, payroll entries, depreciation, and prepayments. • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure complete supporting documentation. • Review journal entries and accounting records for accuracy and completeness. • Produce monthly burn rate, budget vs. actual, and accrual reports for Senior Management. • Ensure significant variances are analyzed, explained, and accompanied by recommendations. • Budgeting & Financial Planning • Support the Country Director in preparing the annual country budget with realistic estimates. • Enter and maintain approved budgets in the financial system. • Monitor expenditures against approved budgets and disbursement plans. • Lead preparation of Program Generated Revenue (PGR) budgets. • Advise management on financial performance, risks, and corrective actions, particularly regarding deficits. • Internal Controls & Compliance • Lead the implementation and enforcement of LWI financial controls and procedures.
