• Monitoring production in all areas • Ensuring that tea produced meet set quality standards • Carrying out tea testing during the shift • Supervising and appraising staff and identifying their training needs • Ensuring sound maintenance of production equipment • Ensuring maintenance of hygiene standards in the production floor • Ensuring timely achievement of set production targets • Implementing production schedules and liaising with manager / Tea maker for any deviation of the production plan • Organizing for processing of quality tea during the shift • Updating stock control records as per approved procedures • Coordinating receiving and withering of tea leaf as per approved procedures • Enforcing environmental health, safety and regulation measures • Ensuring that tea produced meet the set quality standards • Ensuring that set production targets are achieved within the time frame • Reporting any change which could affect food safety to the food safety team.
