• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and restaurant standards. • Ensure consistency in taste, quality and presentation. • Carry out food preparation before service. • Handle meat, vegetables and other food ingredients appropriately. • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene. • Follow food safety and proper food-handling procedures. • Monitor food portions and minimise wastage. • Ensure ingredients are properly stored and handled. • Keep kitchen equipment and workstations clean and organised. • Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure timely service. • Support opening and closing kitchen duties. • Report shortages, damaged equipment or food-quality concerns to the supervisor. • Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant, hotel, café or similar food-service environment. • Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. • Ability to prepare a variety of meals consistently.
