Job Description Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: Managing maintenance, repairs and renovation of projects in the Institute: Prepare maintenance schedules and budgets: Supervisory of contracted construction works and service providers in the Institute: Oversee repairs of facilities and develop health and safety reports to ensure compliance with Regulatory Standards: Maintain accurate records for all machines and equipment for accountability and planning purpose and any other duties assigned from time to time. Job Specification For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: A Diploma in Building Technology/Civil Engineering or a related field. At least two years of relevant working experience: Accredited by National Construction Authority as supervisor of works: Proficiency in architectural construction soft wares will be an added advantage: Good leadership and supervisory skills: Good conflict and problem solving skills: Good communication/interpersonal and organizational skills: Proficiency in computer applications.
• Assist in the verification of vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations. • Assist in primary data entry and routine accounting work such as balancing of cashbooks, imprest and advances ledgers, • Assist record keeping of records and assets in the department. • Assist in any other duties in the department. • Must have at least Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Banking and Finance option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized University. • CPA Part 1 qualification or its equivalent will be an added advantage. • Must be proficient in relevant computer applications: • Knowledge of Finance processes, procedures, and best practices: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Assist in recruitment and deployment of staff. • Assist in handling of staff welfare matters. • Assist in data entry in the department. • Assist in preparation of the Payroll. • Assist in administering staff performance appraisals
