• Lead in formulation of financial and tax strategies and policies and ensure sound financial controls and compliance with the relevant laws and regulations. • Oversee the monitoring and disbursement of fund to meet current or long term corporate objectives, capital request and corporate financing. • Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations; identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; accumulating capital to fund expansion. • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; and minimizing the impact of variances. • Maximize return on invested funds and achieve investment yield as may be agreed by the Board by identifying investment opportunities; maintaining relationships with the investment community. • Assess and interprets financial and investment information and oversee the development of financial models and activity-based financial analysis to provide a basis for investment decisions and business planning • Manage financial and physical resources and recommends yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manage the Company’s resources within those budget guidelines and regulations. • Contribute to the achievement of Expense Ratio, ROC, Solvency and overall management expense within approved budget. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals. • Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organisation are met including Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Insurance Premium Level and others. • Put in place measures to hedge against foreign exchange risks and interest rates exposures • Review financial transactions to monitor compliance with established internal policies and external regulatory requirements and evaluate risk exposure • Oversee the company’s transaction processing systems and implement operational best practices. • Supervise the issuance of financial information and report financial results to the Board of directors and other relevant stakeholders. • Build and maintain relations with external auditor, investigate their findings and implement recommendations. • Arranging debt and equity financing as well as monitoring cash balances and cash forecasts.
