IsraAID is international humanitarian non-governmental organization that was founded in 2001 and headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. We are dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world, and have worked in emergency and long-term development settings in over 55 countries. IsraAID’s vision is to build a world in which individuals, communities, and institutions have the resilience to navigate today’s crises, withstand tomorrow’s, and live sustainably. Today, our operations span across several sectors of expertise from both the humanitarian aid and international development, including Protection, Education, WASH, Health, and Livelihoods, working on sustainable solutions for disaster risk reduction and response. In South Sudan, IsraAID has been in operation since 2011 and currently has projects in Juba, Terekeka and Renk with an intention to expand further to other counties and states. IsraAID South Sudan is currently implementing programmes in Protection, Health and WASH across the three areas of operation. As a member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the Country Director, the Head of Programmes will lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and monitoring of the South Sudan programmes, ensuring the development of sound and impactful projects, and be the technical lead for health programming in the country. The position holder also plays an active role in the development and roll out of the country strategy under the leadership of the Country Director. In line with IsraAID’s global strategy the Head of Programme will work closely with other technical specialist to guide the development and implementation of sectoral programs in South Sudan. The position holder will ensure the development and growth of the South Sudan programming portfolio and area of coverage. In this capacity he/she will supervise and support the programme team across the country in designing sound proposals, concrete implementation plans for each project, provide budget oversight, and ensure donor reports are of excellent quality and prepared in a timely manner.
