Ltd Dar es Salaam Function: IT & Billing Sub-function: Intelligence and Data Location: Dar es Salaam Organization: ITC Tanzania Role purpose The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and resolving discrepancies across all internal and external accounts. The role also involves daily review of data transmitted to government systems, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling them to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution. Key accountabilities and decision ownership The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for the following duties: Conduct daily reviews of data transmitted to government authorities. Identify and resolve discrepancies between source systems, intermediate systems, and final output. Review bill cancellations and completions. Provide resolution for daily transactions with discrepancies in both internal and external accounts. Communicate effectively with third parties and government entities to ensure raised discrepancies are resolved on time. Develop and maintain data integrity processes, controls, and checks. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports. Ensure all assigned tasks are resolved within the stipulated service-level agreement. Manage operations, administration, and security of systems under the Intelligence and Data division in line with company standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices. Support Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning for all systems under the Intelligence and Data division. Core competencies and experience Applicants should have the following competencies and experience: Programming and SQL knowledge. At least two years of experience in the IT or telecommunications field. Experience working with large datasets in Management Information Systems. Experience integrating different data sources, including APIs and ETL processes. Strong proficiency in data visualization platforms, including Power BI. Strong attention to detail, especially in data accuracy and reconciliation. Qualifications Applicants should meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. Strong understanding of general business intelligence and data warehouse best practices. Ability to create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proactive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
