• Support the CEO with the smooth day-to-day running of bakery operations. • Maintain a regular presence at the bakery and help monitor activities across the site. • Help coordinate staff activities and ensure daily tasks and agreed actions are completed. • Monitor areas such as production, stock, supplies, deliveries and bread returns. • Follow up instructions and agreed actions and provide updates to the CEO. • Help monitor staff attendance and daily work arrangements. • Identify operational problems, delays or concerns and raise these promptly. • Help ensure important operational information is properly recorded and communicated. • Support the introduction and improvement of simple systems, procedures and controls. • Work closely with the Finance & Administration Officer and Customer Accounts & Sales Officer. • Regularly accompany suppliers on BB Bakery supply routes to build firsthand knowledge of our customer base, customer locations and supply arrangements. • Develop a good understanding of how each route operates, including products supplied, deliveries, returns and any operational challenges. • Get to know BB Bakery’s external customers and understand how they are supplied. • Monitor activities on supply routes to help ensure agreed procedures and controls are being followed. • Identify any concerns or discrepancies during route visits and ensure these are followed up.
