Procurement of the Construction of One (1) New Infrastructure

The World Bank Ethiopia has released a tender for the procurement and construction of critical health infrastructure in the Amhara Region of Ethiopia. The scope includes the construction of one (1) new improved latrine with hand washing facilities, one (1) new incinerator with ash pit, and one (1) new SM shed/facilities for health institutions. These facilities are part of the One WASH—Consolidated Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene Account Project (One WASH—CWA) under Project ID P167794. The procurement aims to enhance sanitation and hygiene standards in health institutions within Janamora Woreda. Technical specifications include compliance with national and international hygiene standards for latrines and incinerators, as well as structural requirements for the SM shed. The project duration is 60 days from the contract award date. Eligibility is open to qualified contractors registered in Ethiopia with experience in similar infrastructure projects. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with environmental and social safeguards as per World Bank guidelines. The tender is part of a broader initiative to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in Ethiopia, funded by the World Bank.
