Consultancy Services for Reviewing Environmental and Social Management Manual of the Ethiopian Roads Administration (ERA)

The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia is seeking consultancy services to review and update the Environmental and Social Management Manual of the Ethiopian Roads Administration (ERA), which was developed in 2008. The primary objective is to establish an Environmental, Social Health and Safety Management System (ESHSMS) for the ERA, as part of the Horn of Africa Initiative: Regional Economic Corridor Project (Addis-Djibouti Corridor). The consultancy will involve reviewing the existing manual, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and developing a comprehensive ESHSMS tailored to the ERA's operations. This includes addressing environmental and social impacts, health and safety protocols, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The successful consultant will have expertise in environmental and social management systems, particularly in the context of road infrastructure and transportation projects. They should be familiar with international best practices and be able to provide practical recommendations for implementation.
