Information Management Officer NO-1

The Information Management Officer will be responsible for managing and disseminating information related to UNICEF's programs and operations in South Sudan. Key duties include collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support decision-making; maintaining databases and information systems; ensuring data accuracy and integrity; and producing reports for internal and external stakeholders. The officer will work closely with program teams to identify information needs and develop tailored solutions, including dashboards, infographics, and briefing materials. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with other UN agencies and partners to harmonize information management practices and ensure alignment with UNICEF's strategic priorities. The position requires a strong understanding of information systems, data visualization tools, and reporting frameworks, as well as the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field; minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in information management, data analysis, or a related field; experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Access) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in English (written and oral); knowledge of UNICEF’s mandate and programming priorities is an asset; experience working in humanitarian or development contexts is highly desirable.
