Job Summary The Interim Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all company facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional, and conducive to efficient operations. This role will involve managing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Key Responsibilities - Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company facilities, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. - Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of facilities and equipment. - Manage a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work. - Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions. - Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance services. - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities. - Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective solutions. - Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related needs and support operational requirements. - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. - Provide technical expertise and guidance to the maintenance team on best practices and industry standards. - Ensure that all facilities are clean, well-maintained, and meet the company's standards for safety and hygiene. - Implement and monitor energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. - Address emergency maintenance issues promptly to minimize disruptions to business operations. - Liaise with senior management to report on maintenance activities, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. - Stay updated with advancements in facilities management technology and incorporate innovative solutions where applicable. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. - Proven track record in managing maintenance teams and implementing preventive maintenance programs. - Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively. - Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools. - Experience in the horticultural or agricultural sector is an added advantage. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement in facilities management. Requirements
