Internal Auditor

Farsight Africa Group is seeking an Internal Auditor and Compliance Consultant to enhance operational efficiency by implementing a systematic and disciplined approach to risk management, control, and governance processes. The role involves conducting follow-up audits to monitor management interventions, identifying system loopholes, and recommending risk aversion measures and cost-saving initiatives. The Internal Auditor will ensure accuracy and compliance of all statutory deductions and filings, including PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, NHIF, NSSF, and corporate tax. They will also reconcile tax accounts, verify timely remittances, and review supplier payments for withholding tax compliance. Additionally, the role requires advising on changes in tax laws, providing quarterly tax compliance reports, liaising with external auditors and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), and training the internal finance team on tax compliance best practices. The position involves determining internal audit scope and developing annual audit plans to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) or equivalent qualification; Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance and financial audit, preferably with corporate or consulting firms; In-depth understanding of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) tax laws and reporting systems (iTax); Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; High integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
