Community Health Systems Strengthening Consultant
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Health Manager in the UNICEF South Sudan Country Office, this consultancy role focuses on coordinating and collaborating with Technical Working Groups (TWGs) to strengthen the Boma Health Initiative (BHI). The incumbent will work closely with UNICEF and other stakeholders to map and coordinate BHI responses, ensuring a unified approach to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) in all matters related to the BHI program. Key responsibilities include overseeing project timelines, facilitating stakeholder alignment, developing common monitoring frameworks, and ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders. The role also involves data analysis, advocacy for increased government funding, and resource mobilization to enhance the BHI's impact on community health systems in South Sudan.
Requirements
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Public Health, Health Systems, Medicine, Nursing, or a related field; Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in health systems strengthening, community health, or public health programming; Experience in coordination, stakeholder engagement, and multi-sectoral collaboration; Proven track record in data analysis, monitoring, and evaluation; Strong advocacy and fundraising skills; Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably in South Sudan or similar settings; Fluency in English (written and verbal); Knowledge of local languages spoken in South Sudan is an asset.
