Senior Lecturers – Community Health Nursing Job

Contribute to the scholarship and intellectual life of Daystar University by teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Community Health Nursing. The role involves evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations, mentoring students in both academic and spiritual development, and supervising graduate students in their research projects and dissertations. Additionally, the position requires conducting high-quality research to enhance the university's scholarship, visibility, and intellectual contribution, engaging in curriculum and program review and development, and mobilizing resources to build bridges with industry. The role also includes implementing best practices in teaching, training, and research for improved performance, implementing change initiatives to achieve strategic university goals, and modeling a consistent Christian lifestyle in alignment with the university’s values.

Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited university; Masters in Medical and Surgical Nursing, Nursing Education and Leadership, Community Health Nursing (or Advanced Practice Community Health Nursing); BSc Nursing from an accredited university; minimum of thirty-two (32) publications, with twenty-four (24) from refereed journals; valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya; minimum of five (5) years post-PhD experience in teaching at university level or in research/industry; evidence of having supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion since last promotion; Skills Lab Management experience; evidence of engagement in continuing research; strong commitment to mentoring students and faculty in research methodologies; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; evidence of impactful research output.
