Administrative Officer (NO-2), TA (6 months)

Job Description

As the focal point for administrative management services in a country or sub-country office, the Administrative Officer is accountable for delivering efficient and cost-effective administrative support services. This role involves providing guidance for the operations of administrative support services and managing administrative staff. The officer ensures compliance of the office’s administrative operations and services with UNICEF’s administrative policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. Key responsibilities include policy and procedure implementation, budget management, provision of administrative support and services, property management, staff learning and development, and partnership coordination. The role may also involve performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in social sciences, business management, administration, finance, or a relevant field; At least 2 years of relevant work experience in national or international settings, including at least 2 years in office management and administration; Good analytical and negotiating skills; Ability to manage and monitor the effective use of resources; Ability to supervise and direct a team of professional and support staff; Ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious working relationships; Fast learner, adapts and responds to change, tolerates ambiguity; Ability to contribute to the formulation of strategies and policies; Fluency in French and intermediate knowledge of English are required; Desirable: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language; Experience working within a UN setting; Knowledge of SAP or similar applications; Additional experience in finance, accounting, ICT, HR, supply, or other relevant functions; Working experience in emergency duty stations; Knowledge of the Côte d’Ivoire administration context; Relevant experience at the country level, particularly in development, fragile settings, and humanitarian contexts.
