Job Description
This role is responsible for designing practical, farmer-friendly tools and training materials for the Forest Landscape Restoration (FLR) program. Key responsibilities include drafting and updating training curricula for field teams, delivering training sessions, and ensuring content aligns with FLR protocols and seasonal priorities. The coordinator will pilot and test training content with farmers and field teams, act as a bridge between agroforestry design, field implementation, and program leadership, and document decisions and lessons learned. Additionally, the role involves designing and improving extension materials based on field findings, coordinating with data and operations teams, and supporting technical documentation for stakeholders. The position requires strong field orientation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to translating agroforestry science into clear, implementable guidance for smallholder farmers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field; experience working in smallholder or rural agricultural settings; experience supporting operations, training delivery, and content design; ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams; excellent communication and writing skills; understanding of design methods that involve users or communities in the process; eligibility restricted to citizens or permanent residents of Rwanda.
