Public Health Officer
Job Description
The Psychiatry Department at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Faculty member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric education to medical students, residents, and fellows in a resource-limited setting. This role involves teaching clinical skills, supervising patient care, and contributing to curriculum development. The faculty member will also engage in mentorship, research, and community outreach programs to address mental health disparities in Rwanda and the broader East African region. The position requires a strong commitment to global health equity and a passion for medical education.
Requirements
MD or equivalent medical degree; Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry; Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry; Experience in medical education and curriculum development; Strong research background with publications preferred; Excellent communication and leadership skills; Proficiency in English (French and Kinyarwanda are advantageous); Valid medical license.
