Oncology Research Manager at Partners In Health/Inshuti Mu Buzima (PIH)

Partners In Health/Inshuti Mu Buzima (PIH) is seeking an experienced Oncology Research Manager to lead and coordinate oncology research activities within our organization. The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and management of oncology research projects, ensuring alignment with PIH's mission to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. This role involves collaborating with clinical teams, academic partners, and global health stakeholders to design and execute research studies focused on cancer care and treatment in resource-limited settings. The Oncology Research Manager will be responsible for supervising research staff, managing data collection and analysis, and ensuring the dissemination of findings to inform policy and practice. Additionally, the role includes securing funding, building partnerships, and advocating for oncology research priorities within PIH and the broader global health community.

Master's degree in Oncology, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field; Minimum of 5 years of experience in oncology research, clinical trials, or a related field; Experience in managing research teams and coordinating multi-site studies; Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies; Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R); Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French; Experience working in low-resource settings; Knowledge of oncology care and treatment in resource-limited contexts; Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams; Strong grant writing and fundraising skills; Familiarity with ethical research practices and regulatory compliance.
