Accountant
Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for comprehensive bookkeeping and financial management for a prominent printing service provider based in Nairobi. Key duties include ensuring alignment of purchase orders with receipts and deliveries to maintain accurate inventory records, compiling, reviewing, and reconciling detailed statements for suppliers and creditors, and organizing and securely filing receipts while overseeing accounts payables to support financial operations. The role involves conducting reconciliation of daily and periodic sales and expenses reports, managing petty cash disbursements and reconciliations on a weekly basis to track small expenditures effectively, and generating comprehensive payroll schedule reports monthly to facilitate timely and accurate employee compensation. Additionally, the Accountant will oversee inventory management processes to guarantee optimal stock levels and efficient supply chain operations.
Requirements
Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in general accounting. In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. High professional integrity and organizational skills. Have a positive attitude and self-drive. Proficiency in use of MS Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
