Medical Sales & Business Development Executive (B2B Healthcare)
Job Description
The Medical Sales & Business Development Executive is responsible for driving the growth of CLF Medical’s institutional healthcare business by acquiring new B2B customers, managing strategic hospital relationships, and expanding recurring revenue opportunities across Uganda. The role is highly field-oriented, requiring approximately 70% of working time spent engaging with hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare institutions to develop a strong institutional sales pipeline. Key responsibilities include conducting medical product demonstrations and technical sales presentations to understand customer clinical requirements and recommend appropriate medical solutions, managing consumables sales and account growth through regular supply agreements, and navigating Uganda’s electronic procurement platforms for tender and institutional procurement management. The role also involves gathering market intelligence, analyzing competitor activities, and providing feedback to support product strategy and business growth. Success is measured by the growth of the qualified institutional sales pipeline, number of new healthcare facilities acquired, monthly recurring consumables revenue generated, customer retention, and quality of market intelligence provided.
Requirements
A Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields: Biomedical Engineering; Clinical Medicine; Medical Laboratory Science; Healthcare Management; Business Administration, Sales, or related fields with strong medical product knowledge; Minimum 3 years of successful B2B sales experience within the Ugandan healthcare sector; Proven experience selling medical equipment, healthcare technology solutions, medical consumables, diagnostic products, or hospital supplies; Demonstrated ability to manage institutional customers and achieve sales targets; Ability to communicate technical medical information to both clinical and non-clinical audiences; Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills; Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a field-based role; Strong commercial mindset with focus on revenue growth and customer retention; Good knowledge of hospital operations and healthcare decision-making structures; Existing and verifiable network within Uganda’s healthcare sector; Ability to develop strategic institutional partnerships.
