The Fire Alarm Dispatcher serves as the primary communicationslink for Fire and Emergency Services, ensuring prompt and effective emergency responseby monitoring fi re alarm systems, receiving emergency calls, dispatching personnel andequipment, and maintaining accurate communication throughout emergency incidents.Job Responsibilities:Monitor fi re alarm systems and respond promptly to alarm activations inaccordance with established emergency response procedures. Receive, prioritize, and process emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Dispatch fi re, rescue, emergency medical, and other emergency responsepersonnel using established communication protocols. Operate communications equipment including radios, telephones, and ComputerAided Dispatch systems. Maintain continuous communication with responding units, providing real timeupdates and critical incident information. Document all calls for service, dispatched units, alarm activations, and emergencyincidents accurately and completely. Monitor the operational status of fi re alarm and communications systems andreport equipment malfunctions for immediate corrective action. Coordinate emergency communications between Fire and Emergency Servicespersonnel, outside agencies, and installation stakeholders. Assist in tracking alarm system maintenance, testing, and scheduled inspections tominimize system downtime. Maintain confidentiality of emergency information and ensure compliance withdepartment policies and procedures. Support emergency operations by providing timely, accurate, and professionalcommunications during routine and high-risk incidents. Participate in required training, certification, and continuing education programs. Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature andlevel of the position.Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification as Telecommunications Operator I and II and Hazardous MaterialsAwareness, or the ability to obtain all required certifications within 12 months ofemployment. One (1) to three (3) years of experience in emergency dispatch, public safetycommunications, fi re service communications, or a related fi eld. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergency situations. Proficiency in operating radios, telephones, Computer Aided Dispatch systems, andother emergency communications equipment. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally. Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring. Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide. Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintaincompliance throughout the duration of deployment. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Must read,speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contractrequirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental UnitedStates) environment with a multi-national workforce Experience supporting government, military, or emergency responsecommunications operations. Experience working in a multi-agency emergency communications center.
