HR & Admin Manager
Job Description
To manage and coordinate Human Resources and Administration functions within a call center environment by ensuring effective workforce management, employee relations, recruitment, payroll administration, compliance with labour laws, employee engagement, and administrative support to drive efficient business operations. Responsibilities include monitoring employee attendance, punctuality, absenteeism, lateness, and shift adherence; reviewing biometric records, login reports, timesheets, and attendance reports; working closely with Operations and Team Leaders to address attendance and punctuality issues; supporting the preparation and verification of monthly payroll inputs (including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, and unpaid leave); maintaining accurate records of employee leave, sick leave, absences, and other approved time off; handling employee grievances, complaints, and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially; supporting disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws; participating in disciplinary hearings and maintaining proper documentation; promoting positive employee relations and a professional working environment; escalating complex or serious employee relations matters to management where necessary; working closely with Operations teams, Floor Managers, and Team Leaders to address employee performance and conduct issues; supporting monitoring of employee performance indicators including attendance, punctuality, productivity, quality, adherence, and customer service metrics.
Requirements
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; experience in HR and administration within a call center or similar fast-paced environment; strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws and compliance; proficiency in payroll administration and record-keeping; excellent communication and conflict resolution skills; ability to handle confidential information with integrity; experience in managing employee relations and disciplinary processes; familiarity with biometric systems and attendance tracking tools.
