Data Manager

The Data Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining electronic project databases using REDCap, ensuring data integrity and security. This role involves creating and implementing data management, quality assurance, and quality control procedures to support project teams in using data systems effectively. The Data Manager will coordinate and supervise data entry activities across participating districts and health facilities, ensuring consistency and accuracy. Additionally, the role includes producing performance reports and visualizations to support decision-making, training project staff in data management and basic statistical analysis, and protecting project databases against security breaches. The position requires close collaboration with project teams to ensure data systems meet project objectives and regulatory standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Information Technology, or a related field; at least 3 years of experience in data management, preferably in a health or research setting; proficiency in REDCap or similar database management systems; strong analytical skills with experience in data quality assurance and control; ability to train and mentor staff in data management and basic statistical analysis; excellent communication and organizational skills; familiarity with data security protocols.
