Finance Officer

The Finance Officer will represent the finance department in weekly tender committee meetings when nominated. Primary responsibilities include preparing cash forecasts and cash transfer requests, monitoring inventories, overseeing internal and external commitments for ending grants, preparing journals with proper controls, and ensuring weekly and monthly bank reconciliations are performed and filed. The role involves reviewing financial reports, currency clearing, and adjustment journals, supporting closeout processes, and ensuring donor regulations are adhered to. Additional duties include bank and cash management, internal audit activities, grant audits, staff management, and providing finance orientation for new staff. The position requires close collaboration with the Juba Finance team and adherence to IRC's internal control procedures and safeguarding policies.

Bachelor’s degree in finance/business administration; Minimum CPA qualification; At least three years of finance and accounting experience; Knowledge of fund accounting and financial management; Experience with ERP Integra System Accounting (added advantage); Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills; Strong leadership abilities; Fluent in spoken and written English; Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment; Supportive personnel management style; Commitment to IRC’s core values and safeguarding policies.
