Programme Policy Officer National Coordinator JPRWEE

The National Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination, management, and implementation of the Joint Programme (JPRWEE) and for liaising with key stakeholders. This role involves working closely with technical focal points of the four participating agencies to ensure smooth programme implementation and liaising with senior participating agency staff and government representatives regarding programme governance. The coordinator will build synergies, ensure strong coordination and communication between participating agencies, implementing partners, and government, and represent the Joint Programme with government and external stakeholders to ensure strong visibility. Additionally, the role includes participating in coordination processes organized by the Global Coordination Unit and global-level learning forums to enable cross-fertilization and sharing of good practices. The National Coordinator represents the JP RWEE in-country and is based within the lead agency, collaborating closely with the four participating agencies.

Advanced University degree in International Development, Gender studies, Behavioral Economics, Sociology, Agriculture, Rural Development or other field relevant to international development assistance; OR First University Degree with more than five years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses; Strong coordination and communication skills; Experience in programme management and implementation; Ability to liaise with government and external stakeholders; Commitment to WFP's principles of diversity, equal employment opportunity, and non-discrimination; Proficiency in English (additional languages are an asset); Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts is preferred.
