Lead Mathematics Teacher

The Lead Mathematics Teacher is responsible for leading the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the Senior School. Duties include developing and implementing a rigorous and engaging mathematics curriculum, mentoring and supporting mathematics teachers, and analyzing student performance data to identify areas for improvement. The lead teacher will collaborate with colleagues to design innovative lesson plans, resources, and assessments that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the role involves representing the department in school meetings, contributing to extracurricular activities such as math clubs or competitions, and participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends. The position is available from April 2026.

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field; teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, or equivalent); minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role; strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and international mathematics standards; excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to inspire and motivate students and staff; commitment to continuous professional development; experience in curriculum development and data analysis.
