Country General Manager

Lemala Camps & Lodges is seeking an experienced and dynamic Country General Manager Tanzania to lead its Tanzania operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee the company's luxury camps and lodges, Destination Management Company (DMC), logistics, fleet, procurement, and support services. The role involves driving operational excellence, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining strong business performance across all properties. Key responsibilities include executing operational strategy, managing multi-site operations, budgets, and infrastructure, leading and developing high-performing teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations, strengthening relationships with government authorities and key stakeholders, and championing sustainability and responsible tourism initiatives. The position offers an opportunity to shape exceptional guest experiences across Tanzania's prime safari regions, including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Arusha, as well as properties in Uganda.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field (MBA is advantageous); Minimum ten (10) years' leadership experience in hospitality or tourism; At least eight (8) years managing multi-site operations; Extensive experience in the luxury safari/lodge sector; Strong operational, financial, and people leadership skills; Experience with an inbound DMC or integrated tourism business is an advantage; East Africa experience is highly desirable.
