Accounting & Finance Personnel

Our client, who is in the construction and real estate development industry, is seeking an Accounting & Finance Personnel to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing and managing the company's financial systems using Odoo ERP. This includes daily payment tracking, rental collections, tax compliance, loan management, and financial reporting. The position requires a detail-oriented and reliable individual who can operate in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and hands-on approach. Responsibilities: - Support the setup and implementation of the Chart of Accounts and financial framework in Odoo ERP - Accurately record and monitor all daily payments, receipts, and financial transactions - Track rental contracts, lease agreements, and ensure timely collection of rental income - Oversee supplier and client payment schedules and enforce compliance with contract terms - Manage disbursement and repayment plans for bank loans and other credit facilities - Ensure full compliance with TRA tax obligations, including VAT and withholding tax filings - Generate and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management - Prepare and analyze budget forecasts, income/expense summaries, and cash flow statements - Support contract management by tracking payment obligations and execution timelines - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and data integrity

- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - CPA certification or currently pursuing CPA qualification - Proficiency in Odoo Accounting modules or the ability to learn quickly - Experience in the construction or real estate industry (preferred) - Strong understanding of lease tracking, rental schedules, and property-related finance - Proven experience in preparing financial reports and managing cash flow - Thorough knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and statutory compliance - Ability to calculate and manage withholding tax and VAT obligations with precision - Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and able to maintain financial confidentiality - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with contract tracking systems
