Creative Arts Teacher

Pharo Primary School in Hargeisa, Somaliland, is seeking a passionate and creative Creative Arts Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction to students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. The role involves fostering creativity, artistic expression, imagination, and confidence through engaging, learner-centered teaching practices. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning materials aligned with curriculum requirements; teaching various creative arts disciplines such as drawing, painting, crafts, and design; integrating educational technology and digital learning tools; designing assessments, projects, and practical activities; maintaining accurate student records; and creating attractive classroom displays and visual learning aids. The teacher will also support school events, exhibitions, and contribute to the school's visual environment and branding. Collaboration with colleagues and active participation in co-curricular activities and professional development programmes are essential.

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Education, Fine Arts, Creative Arts, Visual Arts, or a related field; minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at primary school level; strong knowledge of curriculum delivery and learner-centred teaching methodologies; experience planning and delivering creative arts programmes; competence in educational technology and digital learning tools; strong classroom management, assessment, and student support skills; exemplary professional conduct and positive role modeling; ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents; strong organisational and time-management skills; basic technical competence in ICT tools and educational technologies; adherence to child safeguarding and protection policies.
