Business Development Officer

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for achieving monthly targets by bringing in new loan applications and ensuring timely disbursement of loans as per the targets provided. The role involves a dual focus on business development and loan collection, requiring proactive engagement with clients to secure new loan agreements while also managing the collection of existing loans to maintain financial health. The officer will work closely with the management team to align loan products with market demands and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships, as well as analytical abilities to assess loan applications and repayment risks. The role may involve field visits to client locations for loan assessments and collections, depending on the portfolio assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, business development, or collection roles within the banking or microfinance sector; Strong knowledge of loan products, credit assessment, and collection strategies; Excellent communication and negotiation skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned regions; Prior experience in a similar role within the financial services industry is highly preferred.
