The Finance Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, budget preparation, and compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial statements, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. The role involves coordinating with program managers to align financial resources with project needs, ensuring proper documentation for audits, and maintaining financial records in accordance with organizational policies. Additionally, the Finance Officer will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure transparency and accountability in financial management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial management, preferably in a nonprofit or development organization; proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and teamwork abilities; knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations; experience in budget preparation and financial reporting.
