Job Description
Kirinyaga University is seeking a qualified Mason Tiler Grade 5 to join its maintenance and construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for tiling floors, walls, and other surfaces in accordance with approved designs and specifications. Duties include preparing surfaces, mixing and applying adhesives, laying tiles accurately, grouting, and ensuring high-quality finishes. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, use of appropriate tools and materials, and collaboration with other construction and maintenance staff. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments, depending on project requirements.
Requirements
KCSE Certificate or equivalent; Certificate in Masonry or Tiling from a recognized institution; Minimum of 3 years’ experience in tiling work; Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings; Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions; Valid driving license (added advantage); Knowledge of modern tiling techniques and materials.
