Data Analysis Consultant

The Data Analysis Consultant will generate reliable, disaggregated, and integrated education evidence by analyzing administrative and household survey datasets (e.g., UDISE+, NAS, NSS, NFHS, ASER, Census, PGI) and transforming findings into analytical reports, knowledge products, and interactive dashboards. The consultant will support UNICEF's national and state offices in India by strengthening evidence-based planning, budgeting, monitoring, and policy dialogue at national and state levels. Key deliverables include high-quality data analysis, knowledge generation, and data visualization to enhance access, retention, and learning outcomes in education, particularly for marginalized communities across 17 states in India. The role requires collaboration with UNICEF's national and state offices and government counterparts to ensure data-informed planning, implementation, and decision-making. The consultant will work remotely and is expected to deliver outputs that align with UNICEF's strategic priorities in education.

Master's university degree in Demography/Statistics/Population studies/Education or another relevant social science field; Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data analysis, monitoring, research, and evaluation in the social sector; Strong understanding of quantitative data analysis, monitoring, research, and data visualization; Demonstrated experience in analyzing large-scale administrative and household survey datasets using statistical software and data visualization tools; Advanced skills in SPSS, STATA, Excel, and PowerPoint; Proven experience in developing Power BI dashboards, including the design and development of interactive dashboards for data visualization; Excellent writing and presentation skills; Fluency in English and Hindi; Prior experience working with UN, government agencies, or INGOs is an asset.
