Country Technical Coordinator – Resilience & Durable Solutions
Job Description
This role empowers a high-performing, decentralized team to refresh motivation and deliver innovative, context-appropriate solutions for crisis-affected populations. The position focuses on coaching Concern’s and partners’ Resilience and Durable Solutions Teams—particularly their leadership—to adopt new mental models, challenge assumptions, and test locally led aid approaches that expand program outcomes. The role requires clearly communicating complex concepts (e.g., trade-offs, cost-benefit analysis, cognitive bias) to build shared understanding, alignment, and confidence. It strengthens leadership capacity, promotes adaptive programming, and ensures learning and evidence guide decision-making while influencing wider humanitarian practice. Key responsibilities include empowering teams to innovate and make strategic decisions, designing high-impact multi-sectoral programs, challenging traditional notions of cost-effectiveness and scale, and evolving ahead of a changing aid industry to set an example for others. The role also involves providing strategic leadership, fostering team culture, applying systems thinking (e.g., Cynefin Framework), designing hyper-adaptive program structures, and applying human-centered design principles.
Requirements
BA/BSc/HND in a relevant field; 5-7 years of experience in resilience, durable solutions, or related humanitarian programming; experience in leadership coaching and team development; familiarity with systems thinking tools (e.g., Cynefin Framework); experience in adaptive programming and human-centered design; strong communication skills to articulate complex concepts; experience in multi-sectoral program design and implementation; knowledge of value-for-money frameworks in humanitarian contexts.
