Landscape Finance Intern

The Landscape Finance Intern will support the WWF's initiatives in sustainable finance and landscape restoration. Key responsibilities include conducting research on innovative financing mechanisms for conservation projects, assisting in the development of financial models for landscape-scale interventions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify funding opportunities. The intern will also participate in stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings with local communities, government agencies, and private sector partners. Additionally, the role involves compiling reports on project progress, preparing presentations for internal and external audiences, and contributing to the documentation of best practices in landscape finance. The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on sustainability and environmental conservation, and may involve field visits to project sites.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field; currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's program is an advantage; strong analytical and research skills; proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python); excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team; passion for environmental conservation and sustainable development; prior experience in finance, research, or environmental projects is desirable.
