Education Project Manager – Education in Emergency (EIE)

The Education Project Manager (EIE) is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on projects under the guidance of the Program Manager. This role involves overseeing project activities to ensure timely, efficient, and effective implementation, with a focus on stakeholder engagement including children, teachers, parents, and government authorities. The job holder will provide technical support to Ministry of Education (MoE), teachers, and Community Education Committees (CECs), ensuring the use of cost-effective and innovative approaches. Key responsibilities include managing project budgets, leading a team of Education Officers, and representing Relief Winds in relevant networks and forums. The role demands frequent interaction with project staff and government line Ministries, as well as adaptability in emergency contexts.

In-depth professional knowledge and experience in education planning and management; experience in project management, monitoring, and evaluation; strong technical skills in education sector strategies and policies; ability to manage budgets and financial reporting; experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy; familiarity with Relief Winds’ safeguarding policies and child protection principles; proficiency in English (additional languages like Somali, Arabic, or Swahili are advantageous); minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in education or humanitarian sectors; leadership and team management skills; ability to work under pressure and in emergency contexts.
