Programme Analyst - Gender and Agri-Technology

The Programme Analyst - Gender and Agri-Technology will provide programme support for the effective implementation of the project 'Enhancing Women’s Climate Resilience and Livelihoods through IT-Enabled Climate-Smart Agriculture in Kismayo, Jubaland State.' Reporting to the Programme Analyst and working closely with the Country Programme Manager and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, the role involves contributing to the design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization of climate-smart agriculture interventions. Key responsibilities include strengthening climate-resilient advisory services, improving women farmers’ access to digital tools and markets, and supporting institutional capacity building within the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. The Analyst will collaborate with NEC-XON, a Japanese company, to deploy digital platforms for agricultural advisory services, crop monitoring, and climate information dissemination. Additionally, the role includes providing technical guidance to implementing partners, organizing training sessions, and ensuring gender-responsive agricultural innovation. Field monitoring visits, data analysis, and report preparation are also critical components of this position.

Master’s degree in Agriculture, Gender Studies, Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field; Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in programme management, gender equality, climate-smart agriculture, or digital agriculture; Experience in designing and implementing gender-responsive agricultural programmes; Strong knowledge of climate-smart agriculture practices and digital agriculture tools; Experience working with government institutions, civil society, and communities in Somalia or similar contexts; Proficiency in Results-Based Management and programme reporting; Excellent analytical, communication, and training skills; Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive team; Fluency in English; knowledge of Somali is an asset.
