Job Description
The Technical University of Mombasa is seeking a qualified Lecturer to join its Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, conducting research, and supervising student projects in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Key responsibilities include developing and updating course materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Requirements
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory; a PhD will be an added advantage. Candidates must have at least 3 years of teaching experience at a university level, with a proven track record in curriculum development and student mentorship. Strong research skills are essential, demonstrated by publications in reputable journals. Proficiency in modern engineering software tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW, AutoCAD) and excellent communication skills in English are required. Prior industry experience and professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng) will be highly valued.
