Job Description
The Finance Manager will oversee comprehensive financial management, accounting, and reporting functions for Royal Mabati Factory. Primary responsibilities include preparing, reviewing, and presenting accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies. The role involves reviewing general ledger transactions, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure integrity and accuracy, while providing timely management reports and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager will lead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and departmental forecasts, develop rolling financial forecasts and long-term financial plans aligned with organizational objectives, and monitor budget performance to investigate variances and recommend corrective actions. Additionally, the role will manage daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity, prepare cash flow forecasts and treasury reports, and identify and mitigate cash flow and financial risks. The position also oversees Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure timely processing and accuracy, monitors supplier payments while maintaining optimal cash flow, and reviews customer accounts, collections, and outstanding balances. The Finance Manager will coordinate internal and external audits, ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations, and maintain compliance with all tax laws and statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, NSSF, NHIF, Housing Levy, and other obligations. The role will also oversee payroll financial compliance and reconciliation, maintain compliance with company financial policies and regulatory standards, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies. The Finance Manager will lead, mentor, supervise, and develop finance and accounting staff, set departmental objectives, monitor performance, and conduct performance appraisals. The position will provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior management, support investment decisions, capital expenditure evaluations, and business expansion initiatives, and identify financial risks while implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA(K), ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification; Membership with ICPAK or another recognized professional accounting body; Minimum of 5ā7 years' progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3ā5 years in a managerial role; Strong financial analysis and reporting skills; Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning skills; Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, QuickBooks or similar); Strategic thinking and commercial awareness; High level of integrity and confidentiality; Strong leadership and people management skills; Results-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
