Pediatrician

Shalom Medical Center is seeking a qualified Pediatrician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Primary duties include conducting routine check-ups, diagnosing and treating illnesses, administering vaccinations, and monitoring growth and development milestones. The Pediatrician will also provide guidance to parents on child health, nutrition, and preventive care. The role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and maintaining accurate medical records. The position requires adherence to medical ethics, infection control protocols, and continuous professional development to stay updated with pediatric advancements.

Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS) or equivalent; Master's degree in Pediatrics (MD Pediatrics) or equivalent; Valid medical license to practice in Uganda; Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in pediatric care; Strong knowledge of child growth and development, common pediatric illnesses, and immunization schedules; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Proficiency in basic medical software and electronic health records; Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC); Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an added advantage.
