About One Acre Fund Our Tanzania program, founded in 2013, supports more than 100,000 farmers with quality farm supplies, as well as fruit trees. Our team in Tanzania is headquartered in Iringa and supported by three smaller offices—Mbeya and Njombe in the southern highlands, and Moshi in the north where the team is focused on expanding our services to new clients. One Acre Fund works in select areas in the Iringa and Mbeya regions, with a growing presence in the country’s north. About the Young Professionals Program One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program offers high-performing African graduates meaningful internships and training opportunities at a high-performing, mission-driven organization. Our internships are paid and all interns can expect to receive substantive work assignments working on high-impact projects that support One Acre Fund’s operations. When joining, interns will participate in an onboarding program and receive training on how to design and execute projects. Over the period of your internship, you will get the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals and receive learning opportunities to build strong foundations for your future career. About the Role Seeking Tree Audit Interns to support tree implementation, conduct field audits, verify program data, and strengthen accountability across field operations. Responsibilities Field and Production Auditing - Nursery & Seedling Audits: Conduct physical inspections at tree nurseries to verify production numbers, check seedling quality, and audit the distribution of vital farming inputs (seeds, tools, soil, etc.). - Farmer Enrolment & Payment Verification: Audit our farmer enrolment data. You’ll verify farmer identities, orders, and payment records through phone calls and field visits to prevent errors or discrepancies. - Distribution & Reconciliation Audits: Cross-check the number of seedlings distributed against our records, ensuring the right farmers received the right trees. You will investigate any discrepancies and recommend fixes. - Carbon Credit & Beneficiary Audits: Conduct field verification to audit beneficiary data, ensuring our reporting is 100% accurate and ready for international Carbon Credit certification. Implementation and Data Support - Manage Data & Distribution: Support day-to-day data entry of enrollment forms and manage seedling distribution logistics at your assigned field sites. - Track Logistics (TMS): Collect and verify Transportation Management System (TMS) forms to ensure quantities dispatched match what was received by officers and partners in the field. - Report Your Findings: Draft clear audit reports, document your findings, and present actionable recommendations to management to improve our operations. Requirements

Minimum of a Certificate level qualification (in any field, though agriculture, forestry, or environmental studies is a plus); comfortable using computers, sending professional emails, and using tablets for mobile data collection; detail-oriented with a sharp eye for inconsistencies in paperwork, logistics records, and data entries; active and mobile with excitement for spending time in the field, visiting tree nurseries, and meeting farmers; eligible only for citizens or permanent residents of Tanzania.
