Accountant

The Accountant position at St. Camillus Hospital provides an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a healthcare organization dedicated to delivering quality medical and dental services. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing budgets, processing payroll, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will work closely with the finance team and senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. The position requires a high level of integrity, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage; Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance; Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally); Strong analytical and organizational skills; Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; Knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations and financial reporting standards; Strong communication skills in English (Swahili is a plus); Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred but not mandatory.
