Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights Officer

Sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) officer Médecins du Monde (MdM) is seeking a qualified Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Designing, implementing, and monitoring SRHR programs in line with MdM’s strategic priorities and donor requirements. - Conducting needs assessments and baseline studies to identify gaps and opportunities in SRHR service delivery. - Developing and adapting SRHR training materials for healthcare providers, community workers, and target populations. - Providing technical support and capacity-building to local partners, NGOs, and government agencies. - Advocating for policy changes and increased funding for SRHR initiatives at local, national, and international levels. - Ensuring quality assurance and accountability in SRHR service delivery, including monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate SRHR into broader health and development programs. - Representing MdM in relevant forums, workshops, and conferences to promote SRHR agendas. - Preparing reports, proposals, and donor documentation to secure funding and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. - Ensuring the integration of gender, equity, and human rights perspectives into all SRHR activities. - Managing and mentoring a team of SRHR officers and field staff to achieve program objectives. - Conducting regular field visits to monitor program implementation and provide on-the-job support to staff. - Ensuring adherence to MdM’s safeguarding policies and ethical standards in all SRHR interventions. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government ministries, UN agencies, and civil society organizations. - Contributing to the development of MdM’s SRHR strategy and annual work plans. - Participating in emergency response and humanitarian interventions where SRHR needs are critical.

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Medicine, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SRHR programming, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts. • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating SRHR interventions. • Strong knowledge of SRHR frameworks, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ICPD Programme of Action, and human rights-based approaches. • Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or government institutions in SRHR-related projects. • Demonstrated expertise in gender mainstreaming, equity, and inclusion in health programs. • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills in English (French or Swahili is an asset). • Experience in proposal development, fundraising, and donor reporting. • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and supervise staff. • Experience in conducting training sessions and capacity-building activities. • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and tools for SRHR programs. • Commitment to ethical standards and safeguarding policies in humanitarian and development work. • Willingness to travel frequently to field locations and participate in emergency responses.
