Consultant for End-of-Year Annual Report (COAR)

This role involves preparing the End-of-Year Annual Report (COAR) for UNICEF, ensuring comprehensive documentation of the organization's activities, achievements, and impact throughout the year. The Consultant will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data from various departments and programs to produce a high-quality report that meets UNICEF's standards and donor requirements. The position requires close collaboration with UNICEF's communication and program teams to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organizational goals. The Consultant will also contribute to the strategic narrative of the report, highlighting key successes and lessons learned. This role is critical for maintaining transparency and accountability to stakeholders, including governments, donors, and beneficiaries.

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree is highly desirable. At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in report writing, content development, or communications, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in annual report preparation. Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English; additional UN languages (French, Spanish) are an asset. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Canva, Tableau) and familiarity with UNICEF's mandate and operations. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
