Customer Service Officer
Job Description
Provides customer service and support for Caritas Microfinance Bank, assisting customers with account management, loan applications, and financial transactions. Handles inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of customer issues. Processes loan disbursements, repayments, and savings deposits, maintaining detailed records in the bank’s core banking system. Promotes financial literacy and educates customers on the bank’s products and services. Collaborates with the sales and credit teams to identify opportunities for customer engagement and loan approvals. Works in a mission-driven environment with a focus on serving low-income communities.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in the banking or microfinance sector; strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software; ability to work with diverse customer segments; fluency in English and Swahili is required; knowledge of microfinance products and financial inclusion principles is an added advantage.
