Credit Manager

Responsible for the review and approval of commercial credit proposals, conducting credit assessments, and evaluating the creditworthiness of customers. This role involves meeting with applicants to gather information for loan applications, answering questions about the application process, and obtaining and compiling copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information. Additionally, the Credit Manager is tasked with file verification according to established credit guidelines, processing approvals, and maintaining a good balance between risk and business growth. The role requires adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards to ensure sound lending practices.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; 3-5 years of experience in credit management, banking, or financial services; strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial statement analysis; knowledge of credit risk assessment methodologies; familiarity with loan processing systems and credit scoring models; excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); understanding of Tanzanian financial regulations and compliance standards.
