Videographers

We are looking for creative and skilled Videographers to join our dynamic team at the International University of East Africa (IUEA). The ideal candidates will be responsible for capturing high-quality video content for various university events, promotional materials, academic programs, and social media platforms. The role involves filming, editing, and producing engaging video content that aligns with the university's brand and communication goals. Key Responsibilities: - Capture high-definition video footage for university events, including graduations, conferences, seminars, and academic activities. - Edit and produce video content using professional software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools). - Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create promotional videos for academic programs, student life, and university achievements. - Record and edit interviews with faculty, staff, students, and guest speakers. - Maintain and organize video archives and ensure easy accessibility for future use. - Stay updated with the latest trends in videography, video editing techniques, and digital content creation. - Work closely with the university's social media team to produce content tailored for platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. - Ensure all video content adheres to the university's branding guidelines and quality standards. - Operate and maintain video recording equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and editing software. - Assist in live streaming university events and academic sessions. - Provide support during university promotional campaigns and recruitment drives. - Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Ensure all video content is accessible, including adding subtitles or captions where necessary. - Contribute creative ideas to enhance the university's visual storytelling and digital presence. - Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to align video content with university goals. - Adhere to ethical standards and university policies in all video production activities.

Qualifications and Experience: - Diploma or Degree in Film Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Videographer or Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work. - Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools. - Strong knowledge of videography techniques, including camera operation, lighting, and sound recording. - Experience with live streaming and multi-camera setups is an added advantage. - Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Flexibility to work during weekends or evenings for events and special occasions. - Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content trends. - Basic knowledge of graphic design and motion graphics is a plus. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools in videography and editing.
